Mei is an amazing nurse who exudes positive energy and compassion. As a patient, I had the opportunity to witness her compassion first hand. As the night supervisor, it is unfortunate that most patients and family members do not experience and see Mei's skill. Prior to my heart surgery, the nurses were having difficulty putting in my IV. Mei came immediately. I am sure she had many other tasks, but she came to my room immediately, placed my IV beautifully, and gave me encouragement. I was nervous about my surgery and Mei's tone and reassurance really put me at ease. She even came back afterwards in the morning before my open heart and wished me luck and made sure I was comfortable. She was so compassionate and kind. Mei absolutely deserves a DAISY Award!!
