I believe Mel is an extraordinary nurse. He is sensitive to my needs and listens to my concerns and past experiences. He is very professional in accomplishing tasks and procedures, yet is also very personable in his interactions with me, which helps greatly putting me at ease. I think he richly deserves recognition for how he does his job.

I liked Mel's attitude and the way he connects with his patients. He came into the room with a smile. Introduced himself and took an interest in not only my son's health but in him as a person. He talked to my son and got to know a few things about my son. Encouraged my son to get out of bed and walk. Put a sheet and padding on the chair that my son was going to be sitting on. After making my son comfortable he excused himself from the room and said that he would be back to check on him. Which he came back many times to make sure he was ok and to take him for a walk. This sounds like a friend to me. I really like the care he provided for my son. I hope to work with him again.
