Melanie's compassion for our mother and attention to every issue was outstanding. Not only did she give her incredible care and attention, she took the time to comfort her and the family when we were scared. We had many nurses for the week our mother was in ICU and then regular care, and Melanie stood out by far as the most capable and caring. She is so deserving.

Prior to storeroom providing shampoo and conditioner for patients who need these products, Melanie would go and purchase them for Medical/Oncology. She goes to the dollar store and purchases boxer briefs for gentlemen that need undergarments at the time of discharge. She has started a clothes drive for the homeless population that need something to go home in.

Melanie is involved with diabetes education and practice committee. She comes in and updates the Medical/Oncology diabetes board on her own to make sure that the best practice with our diabetic patients is being followed.
