Melanie always has the staff and residents in her heart and mind. She is always willing to help with transfers and walks. There was a resident that attended a family funeral. Melanie volunteered to come in on her day to make sure the resident looked beautiful for the emotionally challenging day she was going to have.

Melanie took extra time to make sure the resident's hair was curled, got her a special necklace to wear for the day, and a little memento to leave with her granddaughter at the funeral. Although this was a sad day for this resident, she was truly blessed to have someone care enough for her. The family appreciated this kind gesture as well.
