Melanie Eiland, RN

Even though Melanie had probably helped so many patients with my condition, she knew that it was so new to me to be in a hospital and she helped me with such compassion, patience, and understanding to comfort me. She was my organized, skilled nurse for my first full day in the hospital after being admitted from the ER. I haven’t been in a hospital in decades! She provided such a brightness and comfort with her attention to detail, knowledge, teamwork, and organization – all with kindness compassion, and a bright smile. She took time for my questions and coordinated my treatment with team members in a truly caring way. Melanie exemplifies why it is said that “nurses are the heart of a hospital and the health care system.” Special thanks Melanie for drawing a birthday cake on my whiteboard on my birthday which was a day you weren’t assigned to my team. You are such a caring person and this gesture touched my heart and meant so much.
