Melanie Gburek, ADN, RN
I truly feel Melanie went out of her way after an unexpected surgery on Valentine’s Day! I felt she was an angel when my spirits were low or my needs were high. She seemed efficient and organized in her nursing role!
Every day that Melanie was my nurse, she was highly attentive and caring to my needs. She made sure I was comfortable, whether attending to my medicines, bringing a warm blanket, or preparing items so I could shower. When transport wasn’t available for an ordered CT scan, she volunteered to take me herself.
Melanie was compassionate and calm as she was given the task of re-inserting my NG Tube after a decision was made by the surgeon. She had a soothing bedside manner as she insisted I was the calm one, though I knew it had to be done.
Melanie had a friendly demeanor and was always kind in her words and actions. When family and friends visited, she took time to make connections by saying hello or interacting.
Her kindness did not go unnoticed and was much appreciated!
