From the first day, Melanie was so kind. From the questions she'd ask about my physical needs to the personal questions about how I am, I could tell she cared. When she said she would be back in a certain amount of time - she was. She listened to my needs and never once made me feel too much. Or when something more embarrassing happened, she made me feel normal and honestly loved. She came in and she always put a smile on my face. When I opened up to her about my personal life, she remembered details and followed up on things I was working through. After each shift, she would do report in my room and make sure the next nurse would know details about me, know my goals, and know my needs. I hardly needed to interject! I felt known, seen, and loved by Melanie's work with me and I'm so thankful I had the chance to be cared for by such an amazing nurse. So, Melanie, if you see this, thank you again. When I was crying, you made me feel better. When I was scared, you talked me through it. When I was hurting, you got me the care I needed. I cannot thank you enough for all you did.
