While all the nurses we have had are fantastic, we were lucky to have Melanie for several days out of our one-week stay. The affection she showed our son, always professional, but clearly endearing, impressed us. I very much appreciated the way that she advocated for his care and listened to our concerns. While I am not hesitant when speaking up or advocating for my child, it was amazing to be able to catch Melanie's eye at rounds and know that she understood my questions and concerns and that she would speak up (as she did) for my son's well-being. We felt very listened to and supported for which we are very grateful
