We just wanted Mrs. Melanie Parker recognized for her outstanding knowledge and great performance as she was the greatest nurse ever and took care of our son great while we were at the hospital. She performed her duties as my son's nurse well. She was very thoughtful and had great knowledge of her job. She took care of my son on the night shift while my son was recovering from a problem, from a procedure that he had done.Although there were other nurses that also took care of my child, they did not have the knowledge or outstanding performance as Mrs. Parker.
***
Melanie was an outstanding nurse. There is not just one particular thing she did, she did countless things to make our stay more enjoyable! She was easy to talk to and very people oriented! She was compassionate and showed empathy especially when he needed a new IV or was in pain; she had a joyful way about her that showed she was happy caring for him. With the things my son was going through he wasn't always a happy camper, but she always managed to cheer him up and put a smile on his face. She had patience and took extra time up with him even on those nights when he was being difficult. She was always willing to bring us things throughout the night like ice chips and chicken noodle soup when he couldn't keep anything else down. She always gave his meds and checked on him in a timely manner, and sometimes would even check on him more frequently to make sure he was good. She made our nights more pleasant and that was something to look forward to while we were confined to his room for so long!
