During the Covid crisis, Lilly (Melanie) willingly spent extra effort and time to help patients, demonstrating to other BCH staff how a great nurse commits themself. I understand that Lilly often works on holidays so that other staff can have the time off with their families. Personally, while a BCH patient, I especially appreciated her showing me that alcohol was causing me problems. Four years ago, as a direct result of Lilly's advice, I quit drinking immediately and have stayed sober, so I credit her for dramatically improving the quality of my life and probably even extending it!
