Melanie is caring & compassionate on a daily basis. Recently, a patient was on our unit and had a panic attack. This patient was not Melanie's assigned patient; however, she stepped in to provide care in connection with the assigned nurse. She assisted with keeping the patient safe, held her hand, and assisted the patient with breathing techniques. Melanie took charge and dismissed anyone who didn’t need to be there to reduce stimuli. The patient was provided excellent care. She is a leader and a great team player. Melanie is an amazing nurse and an asset to our team.

She is always on it when doing her job and shows excellent compassion and care when taking care of her patients. Melanie feels more like a friend than a nurse, always in a good mood and funny. I really appreciate the group she led, especially the one on communication.
