My son has been through a year of GI discomfort and weight issues which brought us to Cook Children's. I can't say enough how impressed I have been with ALL the staff here. Although my son did not have a life threatening condition, he did go through a gastric surgery and had some pain and discomfort post-surgery. This being a first for any of my children to have surgery I was pretty emotional. Melanie Stock was the perfect nurse! So encouraging and reassuring. She was so accommodating and timely with everything she did. She went out of her way to make our stay as comfortable and "homey" as possible. She was very attentive to my son and all his needs. She was absolutely WONDERFUL!
