My life changed drastically one day when I came rushing into the Bellevue Medical Center ED. I was doubled over in such severe pain. Needing top medical attention and pretty much begging anyone to help. Your nurse, Melanie Watson, changed my entire perspective and view of the world of healthcare. The only positive experience I had thus far in my 32 years of life was after the birth of my two children. In fact, hospitals scare me and creep me out. Mel changed all that. I have never met such an open, kindhearted nurse. She did her job with tremendous proficiency and ease. She put my needs above her own. She listened to my story, helped me down and helped wipe away my tears. She loves everything about her job. I know this because she is exceptional! Never missed a beat. Never stopped healing. Never left my side. She is an example of what a nurse is and should strive to be. I will never be able to thank her enough for the huge impact she had on my life. What a beautiful, positive woman. She prayed with me. Not too many people would stand there and hold your hand and do something so selfless just to make you feel better. Way to go, Mel, you are my hero.
