However, what made that night easier and more manageable was the care and attention provided by Melbourne and her team.
Melbourne is an exceptional nurse who is attentive, very efficient, and great at her job. My dad has been very poorly and recently very critical. She was looking after him that night and due to my dad’s critical condition, I and my family were allowed to stay in the hospital the entire night. This was a very difficult night for me and my family probably the most difficult times of my life.
However, what made that night easier and more manageable was the care and attention provided by Melbourne and her team. She was exceptionally caring, and understanding and went out of her way to look after us all. She could clearly see the impact it was having on me and my family in particular my mum and went out of her way to make sure she was looked after and got some rest. I genuinely can't express in words how grateful we are to her.
There was no requirement for her to look after me and my family, but she did as she is an exceptional human being. The duty of care was to my dad which she has always provided and is excellent with. She is a credit to the NHS and truly a representative of the nursing profession and sets an exceptionally high benchmark for all nurses. I want to thank her from the bottom of my heart for being and continuing to be amazing to my dad and family. Truly an inspiration.
