My mom had just suffered a stroke and I was allowed to stay with her for the month of her hospitalization. I was immediately impressed by Melinda's professionalism and modesty. She was so kind, patient, and caring towards my mom, even though everyone on the unit knew that I was performing ADLs and other care for my mom. That didn't stop Melinda from checking in like clockwork to see if there was anything she could do or to help us in any way. I knew that we would be well taken care of when she was around, and I looked forward to seeing her even if my mom wasn't assigned to her. She is a jewel of a nurse and as a person. I am a nurse as well and I would be honored to have her as my nurse.
