Commentary regarding Melinda Duran, BSN, RN, PICU January Daisy winner
for Miami Children's Hospital:

Melinda is an Angel. She consistently delivers holistic care to her
patients. She is kind, caring, and empathetic. We recently had a
near-drowning patient who was delcared brain dead. This family requested
Melinda to be their nurse on the day that her organ's were to be
harvested. Melinda came in on her day off to be the nurse for this
family. Melinda is truly a wonderful nurse and role model to our newer
staff. She is consistent and an awesome asset to the PICU. We are so
Blessed to have her.
