Melinda went above and beyond to treat me and my parents with compassion and comfort.
I brought my mother and father to the ER, both with the diagnosis of COVID. Mom was in one ER room, and Dad was in the other. Even though Melinda was only the nurse for my mother (Dad had another nurse) that night, she seemed to assist me with both. I was running back and forth between both of my parents’ rooms, and it didn’t seem to matter which room I was in; Melinda would open the door to whichever room I was in to update me on the opposite parent. I was scared and alone, trying to take care of both of my parents. She went above and beyond to treat me and my parents with compassion and comfort. She was constantly asking if there was anything I needed or what she could do for me. Her kind spirit stands out above all others.
Mom was able to discharge from the ER that same night, and Melinda sent Mom home with some new equipment. She showed us every piece of equipment and explained how to use each. Mom has made a full recovery from COVID. My Dad sadly passed away two weeks ago. He was well taken care of at your hospital, but the exceptional care all started from the trip to the ER and Melinda. Continue to touch lives, Melinda. You are a true angel.
