Mindy left that night, giving us more encouragement and support than we could have ever asked for. During the most traumatic birth, Mindy made sure to bring smiles to our faces and ease our worries.
Mindy is AMAZING! When she walked into our room at 7 am to introduce herself, we immediately knew we had a rockstar. She took the time to explain and educate us on what the process would look like for the day. She made us feel welcomed immediately. From a long night of labor into another day, she coached me through the long, tiring process. She stood by my side and told me what to expect each and every time we made progress, which really helped us both. As she noticed things were changing, she kept calm and talked us through the next process. As we were told we needed an emergency c-section - her shift was technically over. She promised me she would stay over and wouldn’t leave my side till it was over. For the next 25 minutes, she was right - she never left my side. She helped me through what felt like the longest 20 minutes and answered all our questions calmly and assured us we’d be okay.
After delivery, she promised to check in the next morning as our little babe needed some extra support. When she came back the next morning, she got me out of bed and encouraged me to get moving (SO SO THANKFUL) as we were about to receive some tough news that our baby needed to be in the nursery for extra support. She held our hands and wiped our tears as we were unsure what was next. She talked us through what could happen, but also what to expect for the day. Although I wasn’t her patient for the day, she made numerous efforts to check on me and encourage me to stay up and moving. As she left for the day, she promised to check back in and see how our baby was.
Although our baby had to be transported to the NICU at St. John’s, Mindy left that night, giving us more encouragement and support than we could have ever asked for. During the most traumatic birth, Mindy made sure to bring smiles to our faces and ease our worries. She will forever hold a really special place in our hearts. We wouldn’t have had such an amazing experience during a really traumatic birth, without her. Mindy is dedicated to her patients and knows her stuff. You’re lucky to have her, and we are so lucky to know her.
