Above all Myndi is Compassionate. She has a genuine thoughtfulness for others, particularly when speaking with an individual.
To my delight, I met “Myndi” on Monday, shortly after entering my room on the ninth floor of the Cancer Center at Froedtert. Her engaging smile and direct eye contact with me let me know that she was confident and well experienced in the stem-cell transplant procedure that I was to undergo and to which I was so very apprehensive. Where all the members of the medical staff were quite skilled in their positions, Myndi demonstrated specific proficiencies in being Comprehensive, Conscientious, and Compassionate.
Her Comprehensiveness was evident in that the knowledge demonstrated to each question I posed she answered with patience and clarity. Where she no doubt had dealt with the medical issues of which I had concerns, the skill with which she addressed them, and her entire demeanor gave evidence of confident experience. She saw to it that all aspects of my medical treatment were thorough, and complete care administered.
Myndi demonstrated her being Conscientious as she was always ready to give her best, arriving well before the time required for her to be present and remaining after her shift had ended. She diligently looked out for my personal needs and the needs of others. If an occasion arose that required special attention, she dependably saw to it that she would dutifully fulfill the requirement. A specific request made was that she be present when the stem cells would be reintroduced into my body and that I implore the blessing of the Lord upon them. Not only was the request granted but accomplished with reverence and dignity.

I give thanks to the Lord for Myndi, and I thank Myndi for using the medical gifts she has been given to assist people in their life’s journey as an Extraordinary Nurse and Essential Worker. She is a true DAISY Nurse.
