There are lots of words that come to mind to describe an extraordinary nurse: caring, compassionate, dedicated, skilled, and empathetic. I think all of these words, and more, describe Mindy. But I think another measure of a great nurse is to ask, what kind of nurse would I want to care for myself, or for a loved one? And Mindy is that exact nurse! I have seen her go above and beyond for her patients many times: staying late to accommodate patient schedules and make extra visits; checking up on patients who weren't even on her schedule for the day; and talking with patients on nights, weekends, and her days off. She also has a wonderful attitude, never complaining about the number of patients she sees in a day, always putting patient care first. Mindy takes excellent care of all her patients, whether they are receiving home health or hospice care. However, she really shines in hospice care.

She makes such an incredible difference in one of the hardest times of a patient's and family's life.
