I just wanted to let you know of what I witnessed Saturday on 5 west. Your RN, Melisa had a patient who was a bit confused/cantankerous and she was absolutely phenomenal with the way she handled him. She never raised her voice; she spoke to him with such kindness and genuinely was so very caring in all that she did for this patient. I was sitting at the Case Manager's desk and listened to her exchange with this patient. I was so very pleased to hear how she explained her role, teased with the patient lovingly, and showed kindness to this patient who some may have pinned as very difficult and cause their reaction to be a bit harsher. This was not the case with Melisa!
You have a wonderful staff all around. They are all so very helpful and caring; I just saw the extra amount of caring with Melisa this weekend.
