Melissa often goes above and beyond for her patients. One particular example was a time she was caring for a hospice patient. The patient wished to go home with hospice, but it was not safe to do so as his electricity had been turned off due to nonpayment. Melissa took it upon herself to call the man's power company and pay his bill so his wish to pass in the comfort of his own home could be fulfilled.
