I want EVERYONE to know what an AMAZING NURSE this lady is; actually amazing doesn't cover it! I don't have a word for it but whatever that word is Melissa is IT! This is what compassionate healthcare looks like. This is what a nurse who cares not only about her patient's physical well being, but their emotional well being looks like. How many nurses come in at 8:30 pm at night on their day off when they have to be at work at 8:00 am the next morning to spend 10 minutes to access the port of an extremely nervous 8 year old? Like I said, No words!! Melissa Rocks!!

She constantly works with the physicians and the families to make sure that the plan of care is in place and all parties are aware. She manages four outpatient rooms at a time and still takes the time to see how each child is doing at home and if there is anything that needs added to their plan.
