Melissa goes above and beyond for both patients and staff. She keeps patients calm during stressful procedures. She makes sure they understand the procedures and testing they are experiencing. She strives every day to ensure patient satisfaction and makes sure she always leaves the patients with a smile. Her energy is contagious to staff and it is a pleasure to work with her. Patients compliment her and families appreciate her interactions with their children. She is so supportive to staff and patients alike.

Melissa is the most amazing preceptor and wonderful role model for me as a senior nursing student. She is extremely competent and prioritizes the safety of her patients and demonstrates her commitment to safe care through my time with her, whether it be triple checking every med or ensuring all necessary equipment is present and functioning properly. Above all, Melissa shows sympathy, compassion and affection to every patient and family she interacts with. It's not uncommon to find her snuggling babies, chatting, and laughing with families or playing with kiddos in between delivering care. It is obvious that she loves what she does and she is always going the extra mile for patients, families and co-workers. Her bright smile and infectious laughter always brighten my day and I look forward to every shift with her. I will use so much of what she's taught me in my practice. She's an inspiration!
