Melissa Brown has demonstrated expertise in the field of nursing through her organized and versatile teaching style. When discussing difficult concepts, Melissa presents the material in a multitude of ways for students with all learning types to understand. Melissa truly cares about the education of her students and goes above and beyond what is expected of her as a professor. She challenges her students to think critically on weekly quizzes, in-class simulation activities, and exams, however, she provides ample tools and strategies to obtain success.

Melissa makes herself available after class and outside of class for questions or to discuss material, answers emails promptly, and holds review sessions prior to exams outside of class on her own time.

Melissa collaborates with other professionals within the nursing college to provide a comprehensive educational experience, including preparatory work for the NCLEX. She often ties in material from other courses we are currently studying to help build connections between concepts.
