I would like to thank Mrs. Rietscha for being an outstanding nursing instructor. It’s not every day that you are lucky enough to get an instructor who cares about her students as much as Mrs. Rietscha. Mrs. Rietscha is the kind of instructor who will answer your 1 am email about a question you have on a topic just to ensure that you succeed on your exam. Her door is always open to help students, and she puts aside her own time to make sure that her students succeed. Even if you aren’t one of her students, she still goes out of her way to make sure you are okay. Not only is Mrs. R an amazing instructor, but she is also an amazing person. No matter what is going on in her life, she comes in every day with a smile on her face and lights up every room she walks into. Which if you were ever a nursing student you know how stressful it is, and this small gesture makes the biggest difference. Her guidance, care, and compassion helped me more than she will ever know, and I will always hold a special place in my heart for Mrs. Rietscha. In my opinion, nobody deserves this award more.
