My mother was in Baptist Hospice for almost all of two years. Throughout that period, Melissa was the nurse coordinating her care. Melissa never let my family or mother down. She was professional, skilled and compassionate. Melissa was instrumental in helping me navigate the complexities of my mother's illness from thousands of miles away and to achieve our quality of life goals for her. She was the one constant amid numerous staff changes at the skilled nursing facility. I needed her to advocate for my mother when I couldn't be there and she did. I feel she went above and beyond what I would have expected in each and every way.
