December 2023 Honoree
Melissa DiGiovanna, BSN, RN
Our 86-year-old father was a patient of NYPBMH for removed pancreatic cancer. The surgery was successful. But recovering took a long time. After two weeks of surgery, my father was finally moved to Infill 4. Melissa was compassionate, professional, and reliable. She took good care of my father. The feeding tube was put in since my father had stomach problems. It was hard for him to go to the bathroom. Melissa has helped my father to feel better. She always smiled and explained the drug she gave to my father. Melissa is a wonderful nurse. Her passion for the patients goes above and beyond to make my father comfortable.
Thank you, Melissa, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
