Melissa was my Labor and Delivery Nurse when I gave birth to my first child. She made such an impact on me and my husband, I had to request her to be a part of my second child's delivery. Melissa was such a calm and reassuring piece to both of my c-sections. I had a scheduled c-section planned but my water broke early that morning. I had a gut-wrenching feeling that I was going to have to deliver without her in the room. We decided to bump my c-section up to reduce the risk factors and the pain that would come from being in labor.

They were getting everything ready and about to wheel me back when Melissa appeared from behind the curtains. I cried, I was filled with so many emotions at the moment and was so relieved to see her familiar face right before major surgery and the delivery of my last baby. Melissa wasn't supposed to be there yet, they called and asked if she wanted to come in. She came in early knowing that I had requested her and that my water had broke. She made my second c-section such a breeze; we joked, we laughed, I cried. It was the most beautiful and calming experience that I will remember for the rest of my life. I am beyond grateful for what Melissa Foster did for me and my little family. She truly is one of a kind.
