Melissa Freeman – 2 C
Nobody can love your child like you do but it always help when a stranger shows love and kindness during difficult times. Nurse Melissa Freeman has shown that kindness. I know that all nurses have more than one patient but the few minutes Melissa shares with us made a difference in our stay on 2C. My son who has severe cerebral palsy loves her. She treated him like a person and he just smile when she was around. It’s not always the big things it’s the little things that make it better. I or should I say we, my son and I were treated like we were family and that made a great difference in our stay. All the nurses and staff were nice, but Melissa Freeman went the extra on floor 2C. From the kindness shown to the caring words or just a smile gave us the confidence that all was alright. I or we think Melissa deserves the Daisy Award for going the extra mile.
