I was in surgery to have hernias repaired and spent 6 days in the hospital. Melissa Freeman was my nurse during the day. She was always professional in the performance of her duties and responsibilities. She always made me feel that my care was of the utmost importance with priority. Being in a room for 6 days I had a good opportunity to observe her for more than just a brief period. In that time, even with the stress that comes with nursing, she demonstrated a caring spirit that made my stay more of a delight than not.
I knew who Melissa was before my 6-day stay and she was a nurse who I encountered at Cadillac hospital. However, I now know Melissa in a whole new way and view her as a very caring and competent healthcare professional. Melissa is a valued employee who represents this hospital so very well. I know that Melissa was busy with other patients during my stay, as all the nurses are. However, she made me feel like I was the most important of them all. When I needed her, she was always responsive to care for me. Judging her personality and demeanor, my impression is that she makes each and every one of her patients feel that way. She was great.
