I would like to nominate Melissa for a DAISY Award in recognition of the exceptional care and compassion she provided during one of the most vulnerable moments of my life. During my rapid response, Melissa stayed right by my side, holding my hand and offering constant reassurance that everything would be okay. Her calm presence and genuine kindness helped ease my fear in an overwhelming situation. She was incredibly attentive—not only during the event, but also before and after—making sure I felt supported every step of the way. Melissa went above and beyond by keeping my family informed, taking the time to update them and answer all of their questions with patience and clarity. Her personable nature and willingness to truly connect made a lasting impact on both my loved ones and me. Her actions exemplify what it means to provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
