“Melissa is an excellent clinician. She recently went back to school and completed her BSN. She has been a participant of the clinical ladder program for years. Melissa went on a mission trip to Haiti after the earth quake. She volunteered her time to help others. I watched her go into the operating room to do conscious sedation on patients because there was only one Anesthesiologist during that time. For 11 days, she gave of herself day and night on the mission trip with Dr. Shirley and Dr. Mack . She definitely goes above and beyond the call of duty. She is very deserving of this award.”
