Melissa Hemmert, R.N.

In the time I have spent here, I feel the Nurses were all great, but Melissa isn't just a Nurse to her patients. She is an ear to listen, a helping hand when needed, and she truly tries to go above and beyond for her patients. For example, even with the pain meds I was having extreme stomach pain. Instead of just ignoring me and saying she hoped it would get better, she went above and beyond. She helped make me a heating pad which helped me in more ways than one. And she took time out every so often to come and reheat it for me. Me being in the hospital all alone was hard, but having a Nurse who cared and actually truly cared for me made it so much easier. She deserves this nomination because every day she makes her patients feel great.
