When our son was in the ICU, he was not only intubated, but also unable to move from his neck down. Prior to being hospitalized, he had no medical issues or took any medications so being in the ICU, “bedridden” made for uncertain difficult days. Melissa's care went above and beyond her job description to make sure his medical needs were met, as well as his comfort. She worked diligently with his multiple attending physicians and gave our son and his family members “assured confidence” being his medical liaison. Melissa kept us updated about his health status, test results and was very informative about the “next steps” of his treatment plan. I could go on and on about her excellent attitude, compassion, and work ethic. She not only displayed this to our family but also to her co-workers, physicians, visitors and I’m sure her patients. We just want to thank her again! She will always be remembered by our son & his family as an “angel” the Lord sent to work around his bed to help him on his road to recovery.
