Two incidences come to mind. Melissa displayed excellent care and support to a set of patients who lost a full term baby to hypo-plastic syndrome. Not only did she go out of her way to support the parents in their period of grief, but she displayed a great deal of support to the nurses and technicians working with the families.

Another incident occurred with a septic baby. She was quick to respond to the baby’s lack of “life” and ultimately her quick response to the physicians and nurses saved the baby’s life. The child was transported to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and as the staff hears is doing very well.
