Melissa is just so very patient, a loving spirit, kind and understanding every time she was with us, and helped us with our confusing release process. We had to figure out as to where we were going to stay Sunday night since my husband got stuck during the snowstorm. He was supposed to pick us up from the hospital and we had to find accommodations. We probably could have stayed in the hospital one more night, but I really wanted to do something special and fun after that long week with all those uncomfortable EEG wires attached. Melissa helped us get downstairs, with the wheelchair and all of our belongings we brought to stay for the week, Melissa happily maneuvered the wheelchair while simultaneously steering the cart carrying our belongings. I walked behind with more stuff (yes, I packed more than I needed). We headed down to the lobby, and Melissa made sure we knew how to get where we needed to. We also received a free taxi ride to our hotel. Thank you UCSF for the hospitality we received. We felt like we were in a hotel room instead of a hospital. The nurses are all just wonderful!!!
