A patient came into the wound care center for a routine appointment. She became lethargic while checking in and was taken to the exam room by the nurses, Melissa and Dottie. Both Nurses astutely recognized the need for glucose evaluation. They quickly checked her glucose and while Melissa gave her glucosyl, Dottie called 911. The Responders arrived quickly and the patient was transported to the Emergency Department. Due to the astute care of both nurses, this patient was quickly diagnosed and treated.
