I ended up having an emergency c-section with the birth of my son. Not only did she prepare me for what might happen, but she held my hand as I was shaking with uncontrollable fear while I was rushed to the OR, reassured me, and stayed with me until I fell asleep for the procedure. I appreciated her bedside manner at a time when I was so worried about my son and terrified of the unknown. Thank you, you are amazing, and I can’t thank you enough.

We were admitted for a c-section for our second child. We have a history of placental abruption; my son’s birth was traumatizing. This special nurse was so kind, patient, and understanding, and advocated for me endlessly. She held me and kept reassuring me while I was getting my spinal that this was a different situation than the last.

Our next nurse was also wonderful. Her student even made us special rainbow artwork for our beautiful rainbow baby daughter. I was not sure I would mentally or physically make it past another birth, but with so much assurance and compassion, I felt like I could go through those ten more times. Thank you from our family; we are forever thankful for your kindness.
