Melissa Lindsey, LPN

Melissa went the extra mile for her patient and family. The patient was hospitalized, as well as her husband (on 3T). Their daughter turned 9 years old, and with both parents being hospitalized, Melissa took it upon herself to go buy the daughter birthday gifts and balloons. She rounded up staff to sing “Happy Birthday” to the little girl while giving her the gifts and sharing ice cream with her brother and sister. Acts of kindness, such as these are reminders that compassion and service are still alive in nursing. She has created a memory an entire family will never forget, and I am sure they will talk about it for many years to come. Melissa thank you for putting your patients and their families first. Thank you for being such a good nurse!!
