Meli made sure my mom got her last orange popsicle that she craved and loved so much.
Nurse Meli took upon the care of my mother from the moment she was transferred to the ICU. Meli took amazing care of my mother while she was in her last moments. Meli helped me make sure my mom was good and listened to all my concerns. Meli made sure my mom got her last orange popsicle that she craved and loved so much. Meli made sure that my younger sister and I were informed about everything. Meli went out of her way to make sure my mother was as comfortable as she needed and that her needs were met while on her last moments.
Not only did Meli do that but while my mom was on comfort care and then moved to hospice, nurse Meli went above and beyond by helping me resolve some drama that occurred while my mom was in hospice care. I went to Meli to solve this issue and Meli took her time to help me contact who I needed to speak to. Meli even came to see my mother while she was in hospice care which meant the world to me and to my mother as well I am sure. Meli’s care was beyond just of a nurse - she treated us as her family, and it was much appreciated. The hug that Meli gave me when I went and told her my mom had passed meant a lot. Nurse Meli, thank you for making my mom’s last moments happy ones, she was so happy with her orange popsicles. Thank you for treating us like family and not just another patient. You rock!
