Melissa went above and beyond with a patient and their family. She was with a 19-year-old trauma patient. She stayed with the 19-year-old's wife who also had a young child with her and no family here while the patient was in the Emergency Department. The patient coded.
Melissa came back to work after going home, when the patient passed away after coding again, to be with the wife so she was not alone. Melissa was very caring and wonderful with the wife at the wife's times of need, even on her own time.
