Melissa Smith kept careful watch over my father while he recovered from pneumonia in the hospital for four days. He was unhappy to be in the hospital but she kept his spirits up and carefully explained when he didn’t understand his treatment. I felt more relaxed knowing she was in charge of his care.

Melissa went above and beyond for me. I am hard of hearing and with the uttermost patience she made sure I understood everything even though she had to repeat things numerous times while protecting herself with a mask (which makes it harder for a HOH person to hear). She has a wonderful disposition and is most knowledgeable in her job as RN and very compassionate. You are lucky to have her.

My mother had surgery and had already been in the hospital for over a week. We were all at our wits end. Melissa made sure my mother’s pain was taken care of after surgery by calling the doctor multiple times. Melissa never once doubted my mom’s level of pain and discomfort. Melissa is the reason my mother was able to rest that evening. Melissa was always caring in her approach no matter how often we needed her. Melissa was knowledgeable and always explained every intervention and medication to my mom herself before it was done. She listened and took time to make my mother feel seen and important even when she was at her busiest. Melissa made a very difficult day as good as it could be. Melissa is an exceptional nurse.
