My husband and I nominate Melissa for the DAISY Award as she is clearly an outstanding, dedicated nurse. She brings such a positive attitude to what we can see is a very demanding job. It was evident to us that she is the type of nurse who goes above and beyond. In addition, she answered all of our questions, showing her expertise and always with a smile! To us, Melissa is a prime example of one of the mission statements of Physicians Regional Healthcare System: She provided my husband with a quality healthcare experience with kindness, compassion, and clinical excellence. She is a gem! The hospital is lucky to have her.
