Melissa Quintana, LVN

What a wonderful employee you have in Miss Melissa Quintana. Each time she entered my room, she came in with a smile and bubbly attitude. It was easy to notice that Melissa genuinely loves her job. As I reflect on a week of ICU and open hospital rooms, meeting 40 plus people with shift changes – Miss Quintana rose to the top as a memorable employee for compassionate care. Melissa’s approach with a caring attitude, asking about what services could be provided to make the stay more comfortable and then acting on it in a timely manner. Melissa shared what drugs were prescribed and what they were prescribed for. No one likes being in a hospital, but she went above and beyond to make it as informative and accommodating as possible. It can be very scary for a patient in an unknown place with severe injury to comprehend everything that is happening. Miss Quintana was patient, checked on me often, and made me feel more secure. I know this is part of the nursing job, but I felt she went, by far, the extra mile. I want to nominate her for any award available because of her outstanding dedication to patient care.
