As a nurse, Melissa heals the mind, soul, heart, and bodies of our patients. She goes above and beyond, providing high-quality care for every patient she comes across.
Melissa Tagle was drawn to nursing because of her desire to care for those in need. For the past 6 years, Melissa has served as the Leader for Eye Services. We have seen her dedication and talent displayed for many years.
Melissa has been with Kaiser Permanente South Sacramento since 2002. In 2002, Melissa was part of the Eye Care Team in Surgery. She also assisted in the deployment of KP HealthConnect as a Facility Clinician Expert. In 2018, she accepted the role of Assistant Nurse Manager of the Operating Room and in 2013, she was promoted to Manager of the Operating Room. During her tenure, the surgery services had the highest noted output and quality outcomes across the country for a single robot room.
Prior to joining Kaiser Permanente, Melissa worked in the Surgery Services for Presence Health in Chicago. She has a wealth of knowledge in Surgical Services. Additionally, Melissa has a passion for Healthcare and Technology. She has a Master of Science in Nursing with an Emphasis in Health Informatics. She has also published an article in the Journal of Pediatrics Surgical Nursing on the Reduction of Surgical Smoke in the Operating Room.
