I work in the laboratory and one morning our collector had gone to the floor to help with morning rounds. An outpatient came in for lab work, and since we had no one available, I called to PACU to ask if they could help. Melissa came right on down, had a wonderful conversation with the patient, and got the samples we needed. She never thought twice about being asked to help another department. It is this kind of "helping hand" that makes our work home tops. For this, I appreciate your consideration for the nomination of the DAISY Award to this fine nurse, Melissa Ragan.
