I was confused and desperate when I was coming out of anesthesia after a complex procedure. Also, I was alone and worried about my family members, and I was “incommunicado.” For some reason, I was put in a “confidential” status, and my family could not obtain any information about me. My personal items were lost, and everything was overwhelming. This nurse went above and beyond to comfort me and help me and my family. She located my family and gave them access to me. She located my belongings, and even after seeing that my items had not arrived, she went and got them herself even though her shift had ended. So nice and service-oriented, this nurse brought me hope, laughs, and comfort during hard times.
