April 2025 Honoree
Melissa Spencer, RN, WCC
Melissa is an angel in a human body. As a stroke victim herself, she went through the same issues as I did. What a story she shared, it gave me so much hope that no one else could give. She suffered terribly, and we cried together. I feel such a bond with her. I wish she could give lectures to stroke patients. They need to hear what she went through. She's so inspiring to think how she was stricken so young and came out of her predicament today, fully functioning as a normal human being. She really is a light in the darkness.
Thank you, Melissa, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
