My son is 6 years old and has had multiple endoscopies. When I asked him about his favorite nurse from his latest endoscopy he said he really liked Melissa. Melissa helped him feel more comfortable back in the procedure room without his parents. She talked with him about his interests and helped keep his mind off what was going on. As his parents, we give a big thank you to Melissa! Without nurses like you, our routine endoscopies would be a giant struggle.
Melissa is PRN in Endo, but you wouldn't know it. She is engaged and even contributes hours on the Ortho floor. She loves to teach new nurses and has a passion for the technical aspects of the Endoscopy role. Melissa always stays busy and likes process improvement. She is also excellent about coordinating parties and activities here in Endo. Being PRN in Endo has allowed her to stay active in the nursing field as well as be engaged with 3 growing kids as home.
